On Monday, July 19, 2004 (Sunday, July 18, 2004 on GLOBEX^®), CME will list for trading the November 2004 Serial Options on the following Equity Index Futures:

S&P 500^® Stock Price Index

S&P Midcap 400™ Stock Price Index

NASDAQ-100^® Index

Russell 2000^® Stock Price Index

E-mini™ S&P 500^® Stock Price Index.

Under the normal listing procedures, two serial option expirations for the foregoing Index Futures are available for trading, in conjunction with the quarterly options.  With the early listing of the November 2004 options, three serial option expirations are available on July 19, 2004. 

The early listing of the November Options is an isolated event.  The exchange does not intend to modify the listing procedures.  Following the expiration of the August 2004 options on August 20, 2004, additional serial expirations will not be listed, thereby reducing the listing of serial options to two expirations, in accordance with the normal listing procedure.  The January 2005 Serial Options will be listing for trading following the expiration of the October 2004 Serial Options on October 15, 2004.
